Modern railways - 1990s onwards

Two distinctive features about this platform - the wooden decking - unusual for a busy mainline station - and the canopy attached to the outer edge of the overall roof, which spans all the other platforms and part of this one.

Although I have a number of railway photos taken in Hastings & St Leonards I shall only add those to the Hastings & St Leonards-on-Sea group that have identifiable local views as well as the trains. For those who don't know the line, St Leonards Warrior Square is a bit like a tube railway station. At both ends of its platforms there are tunnels. One leading to Hastings and the other to West St.Leonards or Bexhill.
