Photos where people are the story, not the place. Family snaps won't appear. They often may not be aware they are being photographed, but they will not be disrespected and any humorous aspect will be shown in a kindly manner.

This miniature photo shoot was taking place just off Trafalgar Square in London, one of the capital's major tourist locations, where people take photos of each other all day and half the night. I wonder if this was perhaps a student project or people beginning to put together fashion photography portfolios.
Next stop Selfridges Oxford Street London 25 9 202…
I am not entirely sure why this shot was taken. It could have been accidental, although it was taken at a fairly sensible angle. I don't think that I would have bothered to caption it, had the bus' information panel not shown that the next stop would be Selfridges - one of London's major department stores.
Battersea Power Station workers' lunch break - 25…
This immediately looked like a perfect photo opportunity. These panels are, I assume, covering the spaces for future retail or office units. There are several large areas that are either still being developed or are awaiting work to start, to the east of the power station building.
Battersea Power Station Park - a cool place - 25 9…
A very hastily taken snapshot taken as we walked along Prince's Street in Edinburgh. Had it been a second earlier the little fella would have looked connected to the sculpture.
I can't remember whether this was a special event or a one-off maverick frogman. I think it was outside a pub. The nearest river is about half a mile downhill from here.
Sitting at a bus stop, after a day out photographing railways and parks, the latter for an Historic England project, I had my camera in my lap. A group of cheerful young people came past and this young lady said "Will you take my photo?". So I did. Her outreached arm leads to the next photo.
He's her new boyfriend - it's claimed - Eastbourne…
She then pulled this cheerful guy towards her and again asked me to photograph them. One of their friends called out "This is her new boyfriend." I got the impression that that may have been the first he had heard of this!
A couple of years ago, returning from a wedding, carrying my camera, I went into a convenience store, being run by a guy from Iran, who also asked me to take his photo. This was just around the corner from this bus stop. www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/52070130 Maybe there is something about people who frequent that part of Eastbourne, that makes them want to pose for the camera.
Go on - take my photo - Eastbourne convenience sto…
This is the photo I mentioned when posting the snaps of the young people in Eastbourne. www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/52068218
I was returning from a wedding and was in need of a drink, while changing from train to bus. I had found my camera bag had got locked in the church, while taking photos of the wedding party. So I was carrying my camera over my shoulder. Seeing that, this friendly shop keeper asked me to take his picture. The covid screen does rather spoil the portrait but his warm character shines through.
I tried hard to find this image and couldn't initially, then I came across it while looking for something else. The camera bag was recovered for me the next day and returned to me by a relative visiting us a few weeks later.
