The initial numbers in the first thirty or so photo captions are the competitors numbers from the event programme. There were six ploughing classes and others for well maintained equipment and a further class for horse ploughing. The latter only had one entry and that did not comply with the 'Pair horse' requirement as there were three horses harnessed. Nevertheless they offered a great alternative to the powered tractors, with good photo opportunities, once I had worked out how to avoid a bright pink jumper appearing in shots.

This will be the first of a couple of dozen photos of this event. The rest will follow when I have tied the details in the programme to the photos of tractors etc.
Poundfield Farm Working Heavy Horses ploughing tea…
The event had a large education marquee to which groups from local schools were invited. This tractor ride around the ploughing match ground was an adjunct to that.
Given the ultra clean appearance of both tractor and plough and the spanners hanging from the plough, this may have been a demonstration model from an exhibitor.
