Startled Mallards take off - Ouse Estuary Nature Reserve - 9 1 2024

These were really grab shots. I didn't see the ducks among the reeds and it was only when they took fright as I passed by that I saw them and fired off a few frames. I like the pictures because the elements work together. The ducks aren't distinct enough to be seen in close-up and the vegetation, though colourful wouldn't make a photo on its own.
