Boris is a keen cyclist and 1.12.2012 was a Saturday, when the office districts of the City of London can be like a ghost town.

OK. Similar systems in Australia have had limited success or have failed completely. The bikes tend to be found up in trees or down drains or in rivers. There is an additional complication for operators here in that bicycle helmets are COMPULSORY.
