The actual sunset was a bit weird. There was a gap in the clouds, just deeper than the big red Sun, very close to the horizon, behind Newhaven. So it suddenly appeared, steadily sinking past the gap, with the absolute minimum of pink in the surrounding clouds. I am glad you enjoyed the side-lit fluffy bits, out in the Channel.
