A penny for his thoughts - Seaford - 22.12.2014

A penny for his thoughts - Seaford - 22.12.2014
'A penny for your thoughts' is a saying in English, which is usually said to someone who is close to you and who appears lost in thought. When you see someone, by the water's edge on a stormy day, you don't know whether he is also enjoying the drama of the waves or is troubled and uncertain about what he should do. He walked back up the beach - I don't know whether he went home happy or sad. I hope 2015 will be good to him.

This is just perfect IMHO. Composition, content, atmosphere. It satisfies my research for neatness and simplicity and yet quite expressive.

I am pleased this photo appealed to you.
When I see someone standing near the water's edge it reminds me that, at the end of 2013, a boy was swept out to sea from the breakwater in the distance.
Most of the time I just enjoy the constant movement of the waves, one day energetic, another day lapping gently, but sometimes, something like a lone figure staring out to sea makes me remember the boy and his family.
My photo from a couple of days after his loss is www.ipernity.com/doc/philsutters/27685669
