Drusillas - Rainbow Lorikeets - 14.4.2014

Photo by Sam aged 6 - that's Grandad's hand, which is why he wasn't taking the photo. As it's the best photo of the day, I think I had better give him the camera full-time!
Sam's big sister wanted to feed the Lorikeets with a little pot of 'nectar', but as soon as she saw the birds descending she wouldn't take the pot. Normally I run a mile from contact with birds, but these were so tame I quite enjoyed my encounter.
