I recall seeing the 9Fs on the S&D in the 60s and I was always excited by it. As a kid it was the only place I saw any of this class on anything but freight duties.

I saw very little of the branch line from Evercreech to Bath, with these big beasties. Living at Highbridge on the Somerset Central, I saw a combination of S&D and GW, but rarely went on Dad's loco spotting days out.
Anyway I am glad to bring back memories for you.
