Cuckmere looking towards Haven Brow - 16.12.2011
Haven Brow, on the skyline, is the most westward of the Seven Sisters chalk cliffs, overlooking the English Channel.

A wonderful curve of this river caught here. The geese look at home too.

Thanks for sharing with our UK Landscape Photography Group , Herb

As you know, the curviest parts of the Cuckmere are beyond the road that runs across the centre of the photo with bushes on either side - known as the Cuckmere meanders. They seem to appear in many geography books and especially those in Japan, judging by the large numbers of visitors from that nation that climb off number 12 buses at the Sevens Sisters Country park.
The Canada geese are the most reliable of winter visitors. When we were first here, a decade ago, there were loads of other wild fowl, but in recent years comparatively few.
