Balfron Tower

Designed by Erno Goldfinger in 1963 and grade 2 listed since 1996, the building is now in a sorry state and seems not to have been cared for in many years. The residents are being moved out, ahead of extensive refurbishment and sell-off to private buyers.

One of the artists I had a chance to speak to told me that she had only known both lifts to be simultaneously defective twice in the 8 months or so she had lived there, so she may not be so familiar with this view.

An electrical fitting of some sort on the stairs seems to have shorted out
