Glen Coe & Rannoch Moor

This mountain is a "Munro" (over 3000ft / 914m), seen from the approach to Glencoe Mountain Resort.

A standard highlands photo opportunity - I was alerted by the presence of a small group of Irish photographers

In the heart of desolate Rannoch Moor, but conveniently adjacent to a parking spot on the A82.

The climate lends itself to frequent rainbows. This scene would have been visible to cyclists on the cross-Britain Cycle Ride (assuming they still had the energy to take in their surroundings after 5 days on the road)
