Excellent view of "The Old Man" and the valley, Paul. This was my very first climb in Cumbria, about 25 years ago. We spent the night camped on the summit which is one of the best viewpoints in the Lake-District (I.M.H.O.) with Scotland, the Isle of Man and the Welsh mountains clearly visible on a good day.

So I'm led to believe, Phil, but it was all too hazy when I was there. Better than rain, of course.

The first climb on my visit, as well, but I headed back to town for creature comforts.
