Summer to Winter Solstice
21 June - 21 December, 2023
8x10 photopaper.
The equinox is the straight line in the middle. Lines above it were the sun passing across the sky in the summer and lines below it were the sun passing across the sky in the fall. The lowest line was made yesterday ( December 21st )
Grandfather's Silent Key

The key my grandfather used to send Morse code as a radio officer on ships. Photograph taken with a 50 year old Micro-NIKKOR 55 AI-s that was my fathers.
Yesterday was World Cyanotype Day and the theme was "inheritance", so I took this photograph and made a cyanotype print.

Dragon Tooth Beach

22 December 2022 - 21 June 2022
This beach doesn't have an official name but there are rocks on the cliff that look like a dragon's tooth... ( and remind me a little of the place called "Dragon's Teeth" on Maui )

30 December 2021 - 20 June 2022.
The can was crushed by someone throwing rocks at it ( you can see the rocks in the foreground! ) but was still there. The colors on all of these are just from inverting the scanned photopaper... I don't edit them. This has a crazy green

These are my buddies at a beach where I like to hike.
The new Ipernity group "two is better" made me think to upload this :)
This is a sepia print , a printing process similar to Van Dyke brown. I've been making these kinds of prints again the past few weeks. I'm terrible at scanning: the entire image is the same brown color as the raven on the left. Printed 5 February 2022.
Original photo taken with Nikon Z5 and 24-200 lens a few weeks ago.
