This was the point where my camera was really acting up and beginning to die. I was so intent on pushing buttons in an attempt to revive it that I didn't even notice that the Google Street View van was driving past me. Mill Place, Limehouse.

The accumulator tower (next photo) has something to do with hydraulic pressure to work the cranes, lock gates, etc., at Limehouse Basin.

This statue of Jesus pops up almost at eye level when you're on the DLR train. It's very strange.

I was on a mission to find the real "Nonnatus House," where the nuns and midwives in "Call the Midwife" really lived. I'd done tons of research to track it down. When I arrived here with my broken camera, I was so desperate to have a few snaps to show for it that I turned the camera on for a try -- the camera came back to life for these few photos.
