During the lockdown, I've been getting organic fruit and veg from Misfits Market. I never know what will be in the box -- it's been fun to unpack it and figure out what I'll make with the contents.

This company was established several years ago in an effort to keep usable -- though sometimes odd and ugly -- organic fruit and veg from ending up in landfills. They've seen a boom in customers during the lockdown. As of yet, I don't get to choose what will be in my box, but that makes it all the more exciting to open it up.

I love the company name, I suppose you are leaving the box outside to let the UV sterilize it.

I move the box into the garage pretty quickly after it arrives to get it out of the sun. There's an ice pack inside, which is usually thoroughly melted by the time the box makes it to Leeds from somewhere in southern New Jersey. I unpack it in the garage and bring the fruit and veg inside to wash and put in the fridge. Then I break down the packaging (entirely recyclable) and put it in the recycling bin in my garage.
