If you like ghostsigns and Stokie history, I highly recommend Sam Roberts' ghostsigns walking tour: www.ghostsigns.co.uk/tours For several years now, I've been contributing ghostsign photos to the archives Sam set up at the History of Advertising Trust. It was great to finally meet him in person and take his tour back in September.

Back in the late 1990s i had a job that involved delivering to a lot of builder's merchants and suchlike, i'm sure Cakebread Robey was one of them. Tyssen road sounds vaguely familiar too, but i can't be sure the branch i delivered to was here. I believe the company is still trading but under a different name after they got taken over. More than that i can't say, i've stretched my poor brainses as far as they'll go.
