Tobacco Drying #1
Whately, MA. Shade tobacco, used for the outer wrapping of cigars, is grown in the Connecticut River Valley under silk tents. The summer climate here most nearly replicates that of Honduras, the primary growing spot for this type of tobacco, of any place in North America.
