The cam is from 2005 - that means, it's only slightly younger than this court you captured ... ;-)))

At my "And Years go by" image I noticed, that yellow(s) can be disturbing. In my case the building at the right had this colour and therefore was very dominant. Here it is the greenish-yellow dots on the windows and the tube that distract from the structures.
A further possibility for me would be, to desaturate all, but boost the yellows, that they "flash" (esp. the stairs could become interesting then). But, no question, it would be a very different picture and the structures would suffer then. But not everyone may love such things.
So let's just stay with that well balanced b/w - the stairway in its darkness is interesting here, too and it might be good feeling, coming out on the balcony to have some light.

In 2008 the camera was only 3 years old :) So - by my standards - almost like brand new ;)
Oh, why I didn't buy it from my friend when he offered to sell...

Marta: I am with the b/w image, for the same reason I make a lot of mine monochrome - colours, even pleasing ones as in your original, can draw the eye and mind from what the picture is actually saying.
