My Dad was fading away.
He was taken to hospital on Thursday, December 6.
On Friday he was still responsive and prognosis was good.
Not anymore...
On Sunday I felt that he was there inside himself, listening to me but not willing to wake up.
No change on Monday.
Tuesday: he's been stabilized. His vital signals are better. He opens his eyes again.
Wednesday / Thursday: little progress - he managed to swallow three spoonfuls of soup.
Friday / Saturday: some progress, some new problems...
Monday: we are close to futile medical care.
Wednesday: he is a fighter.

Kiev 88 + Kaleinar 2.8/150 + GP3 + Kodak D-76(1+3)
I do not know why I misfocused this shot so miserably.
It would be a great portrait of my Dad if I didn't.

Even out of focus, this is a treasured image.
Thank you so much for your kind words.
Today I asked him to wait and be with us on his birthday (he'll be 92 on Wednesday).
He kept his eyes shut tight but I noticed a glimpse of smile around his mouth. Maybe...
I hope he is not in any pain.
Thank you very much! These are difficult days indeed.
But he is a fighter. If he decides so...
Marta Wojtkowska club has replied to John Sheldon clubHe is a real character indeed!
Hugs
( I know what you feel.......)
All my condolence!
Keep him strongly in your thoughts !
Thank you so much, my friends, for all your warm comments and condolences. And forgive me returning so late to acknowledge them.
I saw them and each and every one of them helped me a lot to deal with my loss.
Could not be around very often last months and so I saw it just now.
Marta Wojtkowska club has replied to Leon_Vienna clubI understand, as I am mostly off-line these days.
