Intriguing

Intriguing
Always have loved a bit of quirk but so many questions here -
Why? What is it? Watford FC supporter lives here? How was it done, the pavement is very narrow here? Was anyone hurt in the making of it? Why did I not see it until now?
None of these questions, and more, can I answer.

I can't answer these questions either Maggie ;-)
I confess that I have walked along that street many times and not noticed it,
but next time will definitely!

Knock on the door and ask they would probably be very happy to explain especially if you tell them it's on a photo sharing site, it looks like the front of an art deco cinema

I found it along the road and the brickwork around looks lighter as if somebody wipes it from time to time,.after doing a look around,. I think it could be a mosaic of a 'Mario Kart' Banana',.. so maybe a 'Mario' fan lives nearby.. just a wild guess./. Keep well Maggs and Warm Wishes to you - from Dj.

You’re right David it does look as if it gets a clean or two - if I knew what a Mario Kart Banana is I might agree on that too ….

It is intriguing indeed, Maggie. Looks Art Deco. Wonder what is is? Or what it signifies…

It's certainly intriguing, but sometimes it's good to have a few unanswerable questions. :-)

If this were in the States, I'd say it's the Empire State Building ;-)

Never having been to the USA I wouldn’t know - as Diana says, I think there’s an Art Deco feeling about it.
