Seen that before? Yes true, accidentally deleted with the entire comment stream and all the stars (heul). But here it is again.
The front of the Moated Casle is here on the right, normally photographers prefer the bridge in the background as shooting location.

Happy Fence Friday - HFF everyone and hopefully a peaceful weekend.
Hamburg's Warehouse District on the left (World Heritage)
Der Zollkanal trennte früher als Zollgrenze die Innenstadt vom Freihafen und markierte damit irgendwie das Ende der Welt (Stadt)
When the port of Hamburg was a free port (left) this canal was the "customs border", marking the end of the world for the city (right). The restrictions have been lifted in 2013, when the status of the port was changed.
With a total of 2.486 (give or take) Hamburg has more bridges than Venice, London and Amsterdam together.

This is the location and the building of the former Post Office Hamburg 6. All what's left are a stamp dispenser and two mailboxes (for whatever reason). A bank (what else?) is residing in the building now. When I was a kid I bought my stamps here. (See PiP, this is what they looked like back then. The 50 in mint condition is worth a little fortune today)
TSC: Sept. 18th, 2016. Mailbox
Since I am currently very limited for personal reasons I have uploaded an archive shot to the TSC group, I hope this will be accepted as an exception. Feel free to remove it if not.

Entrance of the "Afrikahaus" of the former Woermann Shipping Company in Hamburg. Woermann was the main carrier from and to the German Colonies in Africa before WW 1. Today it is a normal office building (under preservation order) housing a variety of small businesses as well as a restaurant
HFF folks, enjoy the weekend, Germany is lucky again with a fine late Summer day.
