Tolles Bild! Ein historisches Dokument.
Am rechten Ufer ist heute die Bebauung um das spektakuläre Marina Bay-Hotel, die Gardens on the Bay mit den auffälligen künstlichen Bäumen und Gewächshäusern, am linken Flussufer die Bebauung um das größte Riesenrad der Welt und die Rennstrecke. Die Mündung wurde durch einen Damm geschlossen, um in der Marina Bay Süßwasser zu speichern.

So ist es Gisela, bei den Megacities Asia sind 20 Jahre eine Ewigkeit. Und ich war schon damals hoch beeindruckt. Ich beobachte die Entwicklung auch immer mal wieder in Street View. einfach faszinierend. Danke und LG Lutz

Ein tolles Zeitdokument!
So habe ich Singapur 1996 zum ersten Mal auch noch kennengelernt, heute kaum noch vorstellbar mit der inzwischen fast komplett erschlossenen Marina Bay.
