Out for a few hours with Alby today and trying to remember how to do long exposures (it's been a while)! Most of mine were spoiled by a light leak or glare (not sure which), but managed to save some. Not sure how it happened - but really annoyed with myself :(

Another long exposure I'm afraid - but this time I remembered to close off the viewfinder eyepiece, so no light leaks. Taken this afternoon.

Taken shortly before the sun rose above the horizon at Eastney Beach yesterday. It was probably at about this point I realised it was going to be a lovely sunrise.

I thought I'd put up a black and white version of last Saturdays Eastney Beach sunrise.
Please try viewing it large, on black.

After being ill since Christmas and stuck indoors, I enjoyed the early morning out with Dave and Trev despite the drab weather and lack of a decent sunrise. Nothing like a brisk walk ankle deep in mud and cow sh*t to wake you up in the morning!!
Not so good on the photography front though........this was the only shot I kept!
Industrial sunset (1)

Whist driving home from Chichester after a late lunch, I noticed the possibility of a decent sunset and made a mad dash to Hayling Island arriving about 10 mins before the main event. As it turned out, the sunset was not particularly spectacular, but as I had made the effort I stayed and took a few shots. The view is of the old Royal Naval Fraser Gunnery Range at Eastney - where a lot of building work is in progress.
