Captured on a church wall in Petersfield, Hampshire. I think I've pretty much caught up on all your photos. My apologies for over use of the yellow stars, but I couldn't possibly have commented on all of them. It seems like everyone has been taking lots of photos over the past week or so................unlike me, as I took very few photos while I was away! For those who were kind enough to ask..........I had a lovely week with my youngest daughter and my grandchildren. For various reasons we didn't get out much - but that didn't matter :-)

I would just like to wish all my Ipernity friends a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year. I would like to thank everyone who has visited, commented on or left stars on my photos over the past year. You're all very kind. Personally, my wife and I will be spending Christmas Day locally with my daughter Kerry, and then (Covid permitting) all three of us will be driving down to Devon to see the New Year in with my other daughter Cara and my two grandchildren. I'm sorry I haven\t got a festive, snowy scene to post, so I'm afraid you'll have to make do with this photo of a Robin which was taken way back in April this year. I definitely won't be posting on here tomorrow!

Captured at the edge of the reed beds in the mill pond at Langstone Harbour, Hampshire. The coot seems as impressed by the reflections as I was.

A beautiful Tufted Duck on the sunlit water of the Mill Pond, at Langstone Harbour, Hampshire. I love his golden eye. Better viewed large on black!

Another image of one of the pelicans at WWT Arundel plus another in the PiP. The pelicans have their flight feathers trimmed annually to prevent them from flying off. This seems cruel but this species of pelican has declined greatly over the past 100 years. The most likely reason is habitat loss due to human activities such as the drainage of wetlands and land development. These ones are part of conservation efforts taking part throughout Europe.
