It's funny, but even though both my mother's and my father's side of the family love card games, especially bridge, I have never in my life shown the remotest interest in such things. My grandmother very patiently tried to teach me the principles of bridge but to no effect whatsoever.!

Ha, ha.............it seems we have something else in common. It's not just card games for me though, I don't like board games either (although I'm sometimes talked into playing them with my grandchildren)!

These are part of a half-sized pack, which we keep for when the grandchildren visit and they seemed a good choice for this particular challenge. Glad you like it Andy and thanks!

Ha, I love this! I have always liked card and board games even though I often lose;-) In Germany it's not bridge but Skat, our Dad taught us kids so he had someome to play with.

Thank you Gudrun...............I only play board games and cards with my grandchildren and then only when I can't come up with a reasonable excuse not to :-))

Card games were a big part of childhood with Uncles who encouraged playing 3 card Brag and Cribbage for pennies and educated us about losing! I did try to learn and play Bridge in later life but never since my twenties when the friends disappeared around the world to new lives.

Thanks for commenting Colin...............I can remember my parents and grandparents playing 3 card brag and Cribbage when I was very young, but I was never interested or invited to play.

I love this. I played lots of card games and I used to play pontoon with my daughter to help her count. So educational too
