St Hubert's Church, Idsworth, Hampshire
I love the look and location of this little church and have taken loads of photos of it over the years. Every time I drive past I promise myself I won't take another one!

The last time I was here was back in April. I tried to keep my promise but I couldn't help myself - I just had to stop and grab yet another photo :-))

If it looks familiar to you, feel free to ignore it and scroll past!

If you want to know a little more about it, please check out this link: www.hampshire-history.com/st-huberts-church-idsworth

Thanks for looking.............or not :-)))

Thanks very much Herb...........but to be honest it's difficult to take a bad shot of this perfectly positioned little church (although I've managed it a couple of times)!

Glad you like it..!!

I am pleased you didn't keep your promise Keith! It's a beautifully framed picture. I haven't seen many white churches, but this one sits very nicely in the landscape! I have just looked at your previous pictures of this church, which are also lovely, but I can't find one of the other side of the building. It looks interesting, with a nice tower.....next time maybe? :-)

Have a good new week.

Thank you Rosa.......................it's a lovely little church and perfectly positioned for photography. Thanks also for checking out some of my other images.

The view from the other side of the church is not so good. The rear of the church is where the bins etc are kept, but maybe I'll have another look when I'm in the vicinity again.

The dreaded bins! I suppose they have to keep them somewhere :-)

An excellent phto of this lovely little church in its rural surroundings! On the thumbnail it resembled some of our little chapels but a closer look shows the typically English style.

Thanks for another great shot of this delightful chapel, Keith. The link you provide has loads of interest to me so thanks for that too! A minor point to pick with the authors of the notes is that the scion of the House of Godwin who was crowned should properly be referred to as King Harold II as there was an earlier Harold, a son of King Cnut.
I was also interested in the name of the church as Hubert was my great-grandfather's name and he had a very positive influence on me.
All in all, I enjoyed my visit here! Thanks again, Keith!

I love the intense green of the field! Is it grass or some other plant?

I'm not sure what the crops are Eunice.........sorry. I shot this from the road and didn't get any closer I'm afraid.

They change the crops each year, but it looks best with oilseed rape : www.ipernity.com/doc/keithburton/19687983
