Fishing

Fishing
A candid shot taken at the Hilsea Lines, Portsmouth. I'm not sure what he was hoping to catch........ all I've seen here, at low tide, is old shopping trollies, and rusty bicycle frames. The water seems quite clean because this is a tidal creek, but it seems to be a bit of a dumping ground for rubbish.

My dad used to go fishing...........he once told me it was nothing to do with catching fish, but more about getting out for a bit of peace and quiet!

Thanks for your nice comments.

The water gives a lovely reflection Keith. A shame about it being a bit of a dumping ground. It does make you wonder who the dumpers are, as I wouldn't do it, nor would you or anyone else I know. At least it has given you an excellent picture.

The council are slowly renovating and renewing the whole of the lines.........but it will take time (and a lot of cash).............I hope that in a few years time this sort of thing will not be happening.

I'm glad you like this shot.............it was the reflection that first caught my eye. I took a shot then, but on the way back this chap had started fishing so I ended up with this one as well.
