Memories of a pint of beer after the walk..........

Memories of a pint of beer after the walk..........
All our pubs are still closed. This was taken through the window of the Royal Oak, Langstone Harbour (which used to be a lovely place to sit and enjoy a beer after a walk). All the stock and glasses etc have been removed and there is nothing left on the bar. All I could see except these beer pump handles, was the out-of-focus reflection of part of the harbour. The sun shining on the window gave this a really surreal look which I liked. I hope you do too:-)

Try viewing large, on black.

The image of you peering longingly through the pub window made me laugh Keith!! On a sobering note...I hope our pubs survive this long shut-down! They are so unique to the UK.
As for your picture, I think its superb. No sun today to give such a pleasing effect!!

Your picture makes me thirsty, Keith ! And draft beer is much better than beer from bottles.

Looks attractive gleaming in the sun. So you can only look and wish! Over here we go back to level 1 tomorrow after a week or two of no new cases of the virus and only 1 active case left in the whole country. Hope it does not return!!!

NZ has done really well getting to this stage relatively quickly.............I wish our Prime Minister and his colleagues were as sensible as yours!

Jean Paul

I don't think back in January that anyone could have imagined we'd be in the middle of a world-wide pandemic less than two months later..!!

I think it will be many months yet until we all get back to any sort of normality, and I wonder how many pubs will survive to open again...........not to mention many other businesses.

J Paul
