Hmmm, American Hard Gums. Interesting...we call them gum drops and they aren't hard. Spice flavored or fruit? I like the spice (clove, peppermint, spearmint, and whatever else...)

They're supposedly fruit flavour.............although you'd never know it.........quite a pleasant, if very sweet taste though. They are quite hard, but not like boiled sweets...........they can get stuck in your teeth easily and take ages to dissolve. I only ate them because they were there - usually prefer Acid Drops, Sour Lemons or Wine Gums. Sweets are my achilles heel :-))

You really must have got nothing else in your cupboards if you had to resort to coloured sugar;-) I'd probably have eaten raisins or sultanas first...
