I tried to keep my hydrangea blue but it eventually turned pink! I always noticed there were a lot this colour in Devon and Cornwall. Beautifully photographed.

I had these in my garden for ages, but they new quite flowered properly, so I gave up on them. I think The Chairman is correct............you have to have the right soil, and the colour is determined by the PH of the soil.

This one was in the Dartmoor Zoo! Thanks for commenting Rosa.

A perfet flower shot with excellent DoF, the blue is very striking! In our area hydrangeas don't grow well at all because we have chalky soil.

Stunning closeup! One of my favorite flowers, too. To turn your pink ones blue, you just add of ammonia sulfate around the roots and in a couple of years it will look like that! Or, some people bury aluminum foil or cans, but I never tried that. I so wish I could get them to bloom where I am. ;-(

Thanks Diane............i think however you achieve the result, the key is in the PH.
