A post card from Southsea

A post card from Southsea
Taken this afternoon, at Southsea, Portsmouth, UK.

As well the Armed Forces Day celebrations, there was also free live music at the Bandstand where the atmosphere was wonderful with everyone enjoying themselves in the blazing hot sunshine. Great weather for having fun, but not so good for photography.

Please view large, on black. Thank you.

Annemarie, ╰☆☆June☆☆╮, Eunice Perkins, homaris and 4 other people have particularly liked this photo

I played my best ever game of tennis at the public courts at the back of here. For the record, I was visiting an old school chum who had moved here. I last played tennis against him at school and he usually had the upper hand (he was good). but I had kept in practice at university and was in tiptop condition with climbing-wall practice at the City University climbing wall four times a week, and believe me that gets you fit!
Anyway, Keith - rambling for England here - I won 3-6, 4-6, 8-6 (3 match points saved), 6-2, 6-1 .. and was ever so pleased (you can tell; I've remembered the score after 42 years almost to the day!)
PS. Great shot too!! :o)
PPS, We're still (on-line) friends.

The public courts are still there Andy and were in use yesterday. There is also a beach volley-ball court there now - a sign of the times.

Don't worry about rambling on mate...............one of the things I love so much about photography is the memories it evokes!
