Indeed..............and they're pretty toxic creatures too: their hairs can cause serious irritation and the webs can damage plants. Advice is not to touch them and report to local council for destruction..!!

I had a problem with another species, the Processionary Pine Moth. Similar nests in Pine trees. I brushed up against one that I hadn't seen and had to abort my walk and go back to Madrid and the chemist's. I had skin problems and pain for some time afterwards.

I've been lucky so far.............but several people are reported to have really bad reactions. I try not to touch anything I'm not sure about just in case!
