Hayling Billy Line
Whilst I was waiting to shoot a sunset the other evening, I thought I'd get a few snapshots of what used to be the railway line that ran between Havant and Hayling Island.....and the road bridge which is now the only link with the mainland.
These concrete blocks are all that remains of the old wooden railway bridge. The rusty metal structures in the middle of the bridge are the remains of the swing bridge, which used to open to let boats in and out.

My Mum used to live on Hayling Island while her Dad was stationed on Thorney Island (Or was it the other way round?. I'll have to rememeber to ask her!)
