This week in SSC:
In honor of our 2 year anniversary in SSC this week we could choose a challenge that we learned something from while being in our group.
I chose "ICM" (Intentional Camera Movement.) I really like playing around with this technique just to see what I can come up with. It has taught me that you can actually paint with the light by using a longer shutter speed. My image is of our yard along the driveway from an upstairs window. You can just make out the fence and the ghosts of the trees as they transition from summer to fall and the days get shorter. There are some large fir trees, a dwarf dogwood and the yellowing Jacquemontii birch with its beautiful white bark.
Happy 2 year Anniversary, SSC! Thanks to all our members for your wonderful contributions each week. It's always fun to see what each of you come up with. :)
...and for Sight and Sound
There's something a little haunting about this photo to me so I chose this song to go along with it.
