Life is Funny...
Life is funny. Yesterday I was stung by a yellow jacket and today I am posting a photo of a honey bee :)) Isn't he cute?! Honey bees I like very much but yellow jackets are just aggressive and so very rude. It made me think of the lyrics to this 70s classic.

We have had a really nice October this year and the bees are still active. This little guy almost had more than he could carry.

This was actually my second sting this year. The first one really hurt but this one wasn't so bad.

I'm surprised you experience the yellow jackets as aggressive and rude. In recent years I have come very close to them while taking photographs, but have never been attacked by them.

That's strange and sad, Karen, but in nature, nothing happens without a reason.
I think (not only) yellow jackets have been provoked by us for years (use of toxins against insects, etc., with the consequence of lack of food as one of many possible causes...
