Bless the Beasts...

Bless the Beasts...
Sight and Sound

Our momma deer likes to put her twins down for their naps while she goes off and grazes. I took advantage of it and got this shot while this little one was lying under the big tree in our field. She was wary of me as I was only about 10 feet away from her, but she stayed still hoping I wouldn't get any closer. Momma does this every day and then she will get them both and take them out for a while. It must be tiring to have twins. (I also posted another video of the 3 of them.) These babies are growing so fast!

The Carpenters Bless the Beasts and the Children (1971)

Nice videos (hopefully 1 will work for you.)

A totally delightful photo. Love the catchlight in the eye. Faved absolutely. A perfect musical match. I thought I was familiar with everything the Carpenters recorded but this gem is new to me. Thanks very much for posting to 'Sight and Sound', Karen.

Oh what a darling little baby. Beautifully captured Karen. You are really lucky to see the deer family out in the open in daylight, let alone get this close. Love the track - I have never heard this one before. Karen Carpenter had such a beautiful voice.

Thanks, Carol. We are so lucky. It's like having pet deer almost.

Glad you like the track. It's probably not a real well known song.
