Smell the roses

Living with the thorns

01 Jun 2013 31 20 917
A Rose.......... poem by Elizabeth A lovely rose with petals soft A scent so sweet and light So beautiful a flower With colors shining bright. But something not so savory About the fragrant rose - The thorns, so sharp upon the stem, That sharpen as it grows. Yet still lovely is the flower Despite the thorns that prick Just as life and love are sweet They too have thorns that stick. But do not fear to live or love, Life's not exempt from pain - So pick a rose, you may get hurt, But you will also gain! Read more at: www.netpoets.com/poems/life/1565003.htm © netpoets.com

Toi et Moi ♫

Céline Dion & Charles Aznavour Toi et Moi ♫ youtu.be/OZAhWe9aVc0 English translation ... You And Me You and me Two hearts that melt and flow Into infinity We leave the world we know To voyage breathlessly Our bed the sea And in its waves Just you and me You and me Free of wrong and right Of all taboos and lies And in our endless night Come dreams and whispered sighs Caressingly To you and me Through deserted hopes That we must all endure Love has filled our emptiness and waiting The unprotected children that we were before Turned into you and me Reborn in love once more Carry me Beyond all doubt and fears On passion's fantasy To God - created spheres Desire's destiny Made heavenly For you and me When I had no faith You taught me how to care Giving me a second chance of living Most words are only words But yours become my prayer My body and my soul You echo everywhere Pleasure me Until the early morning light Make love to me I yield you every dawn So all my days can be Drowned in a sea Of you and me

Monsella Tulip

SOOC Monsella, the prettiest tulip I have ever grown. Looked like any other tulip when it was growing, and closed up, then when it opened...wow, what a surprise.

A rose by any other name

02 Oct 2009 16 22 1263
October is breast cancer awareness month A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Meaning What matters is what something is, not what it is called. Origin From Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, 1594: JULIET: 'Tis but thy name that is my enemy; Thou art thyself, though not a Montague. What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot, Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part Belonging to a man. O, be some other name! What's in a name? that which we call a rose By any other name would smell as sweet; So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd, Retain that dear perfection which he owes Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name, And for that name which is no part of thee Take all myself.
