The Trail to Emerson
Emerson was a lumber town at the mouth of the Tahquamenon River on Lake Superior's Whitefish Bay. It's gone; calling it a ghost town would exaggerate its current status. Basically there's nothing there.
Except this trail to the site, in the Tahquamenon Falls State Park. It's a worthwhile walk. We visited it on the first day of July in 2003.
