We got home from the Straits to discover that many of our flowers had blossomed while we were away. While I had other things to do last June 19, I found a few minutes to shoot some flower pix for the daily-photo project.
==========
Time to remind you again that monochrome's more an attitude than a reality with my equipment.
* Two of my project cameras--the Cybershot and the Olympus--are not capable of shooting black and white.
* There was a bug in my phone's software that occasionally resulted in color pix even though I had set it to shoot monchrome.
* While both Nikons shoot black and white in the NEF format, they do thisby setting a flag in the file only in the embedded JPG. My software ignores that flag.
Even disregarding those concerns, the big Nikon shows color through the viewfinder, as does every film camera I've ever used. Deciding what will work in monochrome's partly about assessing what's around you, and framing the photo appropriately.
There are a few more comments along this line with the other "outtake" I'm posting now....

This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps.
