Hey! They Survived the Freeze

Hey! They Survived the Freeze
In the color section of my Flickr stream last March I was mostly posting flower photographs. And worrying in (pixelized) ink about what I was certain was an inevitable freeze.

The freeze came. Concerned as I was about the impact, I sought out the best of the nearby magnolia trees to see how badly it was damaged. Thus this photograph's title.

Although I shot (and prefer) this photo in monochrome, I also posted a color version. As I discussed a few days back, "monochrome" is an attitude, particularly when your software ignores your intentions.

A color version of this photo, on Flickr.

==========

This photograph is an outtake from my 2012 photo-a-day project, 366 Snaps.

366 Snaps project discussion for March 27.
