What the Dickens?

What the Dickens?
Mamiya TLR (twin lens reflex) film camera with 80mm Sekor lenses. Ilford FP4 black and white film rated at 125 ISO and developed in Ilford ID XI.
Negative made in 1982. Scanned using CanoScan 8800F.
These volumes had a rich burgundy hue, and much I as I have always liked monochrome, I would use colour now for this picture.

Smiley Derleth, Steve Bucknell, Martine have particularly liked this photo

I like the monochrome effect, making them ghost volumes, ancient and unread.
Dickens a still relevant, inspiring writer...mu h loved by Franz Kafka, which makes you think!
