I just watched the beginning of it... well if Britain joined the EU ONLY with the condition of having right of veto about laws which were against its interests that means it considered itself above the other countries... in this case better to stay alone. When you join a community the whole is primary to the individual, like what is benefit for the country may be not benefit for a particular individual, so the citizens of a country must give up part of their freedom for a greater and spread advantage to the majority of the citizens, and this is how democracy works.

As far as one can feel reading the newspapers nobody in Europe is glad about EU politics and choices, still as long as there are advantages they stay in the union.

I have seen brexit from outside and I had the impression that the immigration policy was the primary reason for leaving. Of course there must be other and older reasons apart from that...

No democracy in the EU: it's a dictatorship, and the sooner we get out, the better.

PC means 'politically correct' - what the liberal-lefties allow you to say in this country that once upon a time had freedom of speech. So 'non-PC' means 'not politically correct'.

I can't accept that cartoon, it's too simplistic and biased. You can't dismiss this issue that way. Social relationships are not mathematics but deal with human emotions and feelings. The problem with our present society and shared consciousness is that we have lost common sense and fear to deal with conflicts and social problems first person and we think that the problem of our society, even the personal ones, can and must be solved through politics, something which can never be. Just the very term "political correct" is utterly wrong because human relationships cannot be shaped or controlled by politics, but each individual must understand for himself the right behaviour with the help of educators of course. This shows the failure of modern education. Actually we are going towards a society where parents don't educate their children any more (because it's tiring and hard and they are not prepared for this), so it's the state or public institutions like schools which must fill this gap. But teachers are as confused as parents...

The cartoon is a send-up of present-day leftwing politics, which tries to control our thinking by telling us what is or isn't 'PC', and blocking any dissent with the label 'hate speech'.

If the lefties tell you that two and two make five, then you will be condemned as a bigot if you dare to express your opinion that actually two and two make four. These lefties also infiltrate the education system, and parents can have their children taken away from the family home if they raise them with 'politically incorrect' values.

What I mean is that it's no good to consider everything from a political point of view. Once you take side, i.e. you identify yourself with a political party, either right or left, then you'll see as "wrong - i.e. 2+2 = 5) everything the people of the opposite party will say. And of course the other party will do the same. So objectively this video does not demonstrate anything but it's just expressing an opinion. The leftist can equally say that the right is limiting their freedom. You see the point? Ideologies, both right and left are an obstacle to real understanding of a problem.

I think you're still missing the point, Skipper. We used to have a CHOICE about what to believe and could debate our differences. But now we have the Thought Police censoring free speech, and people are losing their jobs or getting arrested simply for expressing their honest opinions.
