We don't get gassers out here, but they have always fascinated me - must be dogs to drive in anything but a straight line!

Thanks Paul! Yes ... you wouldn't find one on a road course and they are a bit of a nostalgia thing these days, but they make the races a little more interesting! :-)

Thanks ... but no worries Karen! :-) Gassers run on gasoline instead of alcohol, or nitro methane and they have been converted to a straight axle in front with the suspension raised to transfer the weight of the car to the rear wheels. Some of the early Gassers came from the factory with a straight axle like the Willys, but many others removed their IFS for the Gasser profile like this GTO did.

Great use of selective colour. I hadn't heard of gassers so googled if there are any in Sweden and even found one for sale , not that I want one though.
