I'm far from an expert on Ford, but I think you could get the same 360 horse 429 engine that was standard on the Cobra Mustang. I think the Cobra Jet engine was rated at 370 hp, but in any case ... this is a hot rod show and the cars that the auto companies should have built ... turn up here! :-) There are a lot of Torino wagons configured like this running around ... just like the Pontiac GTO wagons which were never built in the factory..

What a hoot! A sports wagon. I had an old station wagon once but it never had any pretensions of being anything other than a family car.

Ours were pretty mundane too with the exception of looking like a rolling radio station. Dad was a HAM operator back then. There were a few of them at the drag strip though. Nothing like seeing a station wagon pulling its front wheels off the ground!

That's one fine Ford station wagon! I miss those days of the wheelstands. My station wagon could never do that because it's front wheel drive! I wish it could be converted to rear wheel drive, but it's a unibody and that sucks.

The neat thing about the car hobby today is that you can do anything ... if you through enough money at it! :-)
