Man, I remember having a model car of a Kammback like that back in the early 1970's. You know, despite the fact that Vegas were terrible on reliability, their wagon version was pretty nice looking.

Reliability improved greatly with a small block Chevy under the hood! My buddy traded his 1967 GTO for a new 1976 Vega GT right after graduation and he spent the same summer driving a four door loaner Nova while they first changed the head and then the whole engine. I think he drove it the next winter and then traded it for a new Chevy 4X4. They were worth nothing on trade in. He originally wanted to trade it for a Subaru Brat, but they wouldn't even give him less than nothing for it. It was a great looking car other than that engine!
