There have been many new and scary-looking hybrid pumpkins introduced into the market since I was a youth! The Shanghai GP3 100 renders sharp contrast (no filter?). I have not yet tried that film although I heard somewhere that it is quite thin and curls after developing.

Thanks, Scott! No, I didn't use a filter on that Minolta 50mm. I think it's new enough to be coated for certain things already. Although the Shanghai GP3 100 is a little thin, it worked well for me and laid perfectly flat for scanning. Unlike that old Kodak Kodacolor II that curled up into a "U" and is almost impossible to scan.
