Remains Of The Day

Remains Of The Day
These remains happened to be from a New Year's Eve party I hosted at my house on December 31st, 1981. As I recall, it was a pretty good party.

Camera: Minolta XD11
Lens: Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm, f/1.2
Film: Kodak Kodacolor 100
Date: January 1st, 1982
Location: Norris City, Illinois, U.S.A.

Bruno Suignard, John FitzGerald, Steve Bucknell have particularly liked this photo

Excellent title, and I’m thinking Journey to the End of the Night as another good one.
1981 was a different world/universe.
Some heartbreaking detritus here. Some horrible furniture from the Sixties…or the Fifties…or maybe the First World War.
I wonder what that beautiful roll-top piece contained?
Man cannot live by crisps and Coke alone…or maybe he can…which you prove by still being here.
