Tournesols

This is an emulation of the canvases in Vincent Van Gogh's second Sunflower series, one of my favorite series of paintings. "Tournesols" is French for "Sunflowers." For the Saturday Self-Challenge group - Art.

This image is basically straight out of the camera, with no processing effects added or Photoshopped colors. I only had eight sunflowers, but I wish I would have had 11 for a fuller look. To see what one of Vincent Van Gogh's originals looks like and what I have attempted to emulate ("Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."), here's a link to one of his paintings in his second sunflower series:

Well, looking through this weeks entries from all the members of the Saturday Self-Challenge group, I see there are a lot of other fans of Vincent Van Gogh! I suppose I could have post-processed it to look like this, but liked my original:

Wow, I didn't see this before; it looks great! But your unretouched version is still my favorite because you were able to achieve the challenge's goal without the need for processing; that is phenomenal!

I wanted to do a different one, by my favorite artist Salvadore Dali, but I was just too busy every day this week around sunset.
