Fender Jazz Bass Guitar Copy
I posted a shot of this bass guitar the other day and that was how it looked when I first got it. This is what that Fender Jazz clone bass guitar looks like now. I want to strip it down to bare wood and see what it looks like and then refinish it again. Maybe even go with a natural wood look, depending on the grain I find under the paint. I'll probably buy new hardware as well and it should sound even better than it did with the cheap pickups it came with.
If you look carefully, you'll note that there's no nut on this guitar. I think I used it to fix a friend's bass and therefore mine doesn't have one currently. But, that's something I bought at the music store yesterday - a new blank nut. I'll measure it and cut it fit so that it will at least be playable. I'd like to check the action on the neck and see what it's like.
